Our Catholic Parish Community welcomes you to our Church and thanks you for visiting our website. We are a community of believers including St. Anthony's in Farwell and St. Joseph's in Elba.  If you are a visitor or just passing through, we wish you well. Christmas Masses and Christmas Plants

                   Please call the Church office if you would like to serve as a Liturgical Minister at any of the Christmas Masses. There are still some openings so call as soon as possible if interested 754-4002

Christmas Flowers

       Anyone wish to donate a Christmas Plant in Memory of a Loved One please leave at teh back of Church no later than Thursday, December 21st. Please have your name and the names of your loved one on the plant. Names will be listed in the chruch bulletin.  There are also flower envelops in the back of Church if you would rather make a donation.

Advent Penance Service

                    The advent Penance service for 2017 is on Wednesday, December 13th at 7:00p.m. I request everyone to participate in penance service and do the confession. Eight Priests are available to hear confessions.

Father Ray's Address 

                  Father Ray Kosmicki has moved back to Grand Island to Skilled Care at St. Francis. His address is St. Francis Skilled Care Room 326 2116 W. Faidley Avenue, Grand Island, NE 68803.  He has made remarkable progeress with therapy but needs a bit more time to heal. Most concerning is his vision, but he will contuine with therapy while at Skilled Care. His sprirts are great. HIs 79th Birthday is coming up on December 16th

Prayer Chain Update

                    Dianne Rice is the new leader for prayer chain. If you have prayer chain requests, please contact her at 308-571-0039. The updated call list for the prayer chain can me found in the back of the church.      

Second Collection

         On the first and third weekends of the month, there will be a second collection that will go towards the payment of the Parish Life Center. This will be addition to the pledges and other generous donations that have been donated. Thank you all for the ability to have and enjoy this very nice facility!

Stewardship Opportunity Forms

              "Give of your hands to serve and of your heart to love" Saint Teresa of Calcutta Please complete the stewardship Opportunity Forms. The forms are available on Facebook and at our website. Please complete the forms and put in the Gift box to god in the back of church.

Catholic Daughter News

                 There will not be a December meeting our next meeting will be Tuesday, January 16th

                 CCW will be serving cookies and drinks after the Children's Christmas Program on Wednesday, December 20th. Please contact Sandi Mudloff at 750-6439 or Julie Baquet at 750-9492 if you can help, The next CCW meeting will be January 8th at 7:00 p.m in the church gathering area/  

                  The Catholic Daughters have choosen the Victory House in Grand Island to be the rrecipient of their service project. We will be collecting and ppurchasing item sfor these homeless Veteran's. Please consider donating an item or two. There will be a box set up at the back of church where you can drop off your items. Items they can use are paper towels, toilet paper, scarves, hats, caps, and cleaning supplies.

Christmas Book Program

             The Dynamic Catholic book program has been changing lives and re-energizing parishes across the nation. Consider making a contribution to this ministry for our three parishees. Put donations in a separate envelope marked: Christmas Book Program and mail to chruch the chruch office or put in the Mass collection.

Attention: any 3rd grade students and up wishing to sing at the Sunday morning, December 24th 10:00 a.m. Mass. Please be at the church at 9:00 a.m.

It's Tiime to wrap the Chritmas Books so bring Christmas paper to chruch and put on the desk in the southeast room. Wrapping will begin after all the masses on December 16th and 17th. Music and tape will be provided. Everyone can be a part of this ministry of giving.


FARWELL NEWS

                  Farwell will be taking up a 2nd collection at Midnite Mass. Anyone wanting to donate can do so at any time. Deposit in the collection. Everyone is welcomed to attend Midnite Mass at St. Anthony's Church in Farwell.

                    There are 10 Jars of Honey left if you are needing stocking stuffers call Kathy at 336-3357

                   St. Anthony's Church is asking people of the Parish to bring their favorite cherished ornament from loved ones past and present for the Memory Tree at church.

                   We will start decorating the church at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17th. Phil's CCD class will carry up the decorations from the basement. 

               PLEASE NOTE: Contribution Envelopes can be found in the back of Church at St Anthony's. Please pick your up as soon as possible.

         HOT OFF THE PRESS!! St. Anthony's History Books are now available. Please contact Kathy Gorecki @ (308) 336-3351. There is a limited quantity so you will want to get your order in soon!! Would make a great Christmas gift!! History of 145 years + plus up to date history and memories $5.00 each.
